Managed cross company teams, established plan of execution, documented environment and identified risks, finalized disaster recovery readiness assessment. Created multiple options by preselecting technology enablers and guided client through disaster scenario and IT environment impact.
New business launch
Launched multiple Cloud Based IT services for new business operations. We have deployed cloud services and technology for non technology companies from the ground up. This includes website build, integration with outside data feeds, integration with mobile devices, desktop configuration and creation of training material.

Transformed multiple organizations from traditional IT services use to Cloud Based IT services, including email, documentation, storage and collaboration tools including integrated services for mobile devices.
International startup expansion
Traveled across India evangelizing products and services, educating partners, reseller and prospects on technology value proposition. In charge of direct technical presales and reseller coordination around education and post sales activities.
Network Appliance Assessment
Optimized Gfiler (NAS gateway) environment and provided recommendations for future growth. Findings and recommendations made were based on client’s business requirements for operational recovery. Conducted a detailed analysis of existing regional NetApp implementations , reviewed and analyzed existing documentation, interviewed members of the client’s team to understand their business and technical objectives of the architecture, recommend best practices for stabilizing the NetApp environment and increasing backup and recoverability. Review and analyze existing policies and procedures surrounding the NetApp environment.
Network Attached Storage Health Check
Documented client’s environment focusing on existing architecture, currently deployed products, Best Practices comparison to Customer environment, Naming Conventions, Policies for SnapMirror, SnapShot Utilization Analysis, Performance Issues and Tuning Recommendations, Documentation of SnapMirror Relationship(s), CPU Utilization, IP Network Utilization, Storage Allocation and Utilization, Scheduled Maintenance, Monitoring and Alerting.
Network Attached Storage Triage
Provided immediate relief for local storage staff and responded to any issues related to NetApp Gateway filers, Cluster Failover, Network infrastructure, Active Directory, Connectivity issues, Firewall related issues, network switches ACL, DNS, WINS. Identified key aspects of improvement related to network connectivity, best practices, policies, processes and procedures; communicated findings to management and support staff.
HDS eNAS Cluster implementations / HDS Gfiler Cluster implementations
Perform eNAS and Gfiler implementations for HDS on a regular basis, usually a week long engagement per cluster. Identification of client's concerns and requirements to address during implementation. Work with local teams to implement eNAS NAS solution on TagmaStore Series storage Subsystems. Trained clients on all management tasks.
Name Space Virtualization / Server High Availability (HA) solution architecture and implementation (file servers)
By establishing a VFM solution we acheibed replication across servers locally and fail over name space instantaneously reducing and sometimes eliminating down time. Automated software patches solution in WAN environment by establishing SUS at all sites; setting remote sites to pull latest approved patches from central SUS server, users ran a script locally to pull patches from local SUS servers.
Exchange Recovery improvements using Netapp Gear
After recovering from an exchange crash, it became our task to improve the exchange backup procedure and recovery time; We were able to deliver a solution by configuring and moving the exchange data base to a Netapp Filer, enabling a snap (backup of database) to happen 4 times per day. As additional protection we established a standby server in case a backup database needed to be mounted (tested and mounted offline database on the weekly basis).
Email message recovery process and procedures
Worked three months at customer site establishing a self running 24/7 operation where operators had to extract key messages from various dates across multiple backup and email systems. Created procedures, process and trained operators with no previous experience.
Centralized Backups /management, policies, processes and procedures creation
Planned and deployed Centralized backup solutions across multiple sites. Implemented VFM to create a common namespace for servers, filers and other NAS devices; furthermore, replicating data across the WAN to a single R200 Nearstore device and finally going to tape. Created new documentation around policies, processes and procedures.
